Our Vision

Important Notice

Helping Paws of North Texas is an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit corporation. It was created in 2011, in an effort to help small-town shelters rehabilitate stray animals for adoption. We chose the Richland Hills Animal Shelter due to the vision and dedication of their staff. In the years since the Richland Hills Animal Shelter has become well-known for their efforts to find homes for every adoptable animal, and the selfless attitude of staff and volunteers. We are working to expand our reach to other small shelters and rescues, by donating money and supplies.

We welcome any and all donations of money, food, medicines and equipment that will help us continue our work to save and rehome as many adoptable animals as possible. We accept any animal care products, even if expired - as we know most things last well beyond their expiration date.

We are always looking for volunteers who share our vision and goals. Our volunteers run adoption events, fundraisers, and assist at the shelter as needed. We can always use people who like to help with fundraising, event planning, and people that have computer or photography experience.

We financially assist the animals of the Richland Hills Animal Shelter - we don't have any say in their policy, and we are not responsible for the animals once they're adopted.

If you have a question or an issue with a pet from the shelter, please contact the Richland Hills Animal Shelter at 817-616-3769. Thanks!
